Be Informed: High Tech Solution FAQs
It’s important to be informed about your home improvement project. Here are common questions that we’ve encountered when working on roofs and gutters:
- Do I need to be home to get an estimate?
Yes. This way, you and our team can make the most sound financial decision for your project. - What are the factors that causes the price to vary?
We consider house level, roof type, and the difficulty of the job. - Do I need to be home during the installation project?
You don’t have to be present during the project if our installers have access to all open areas and electric outlets of your home. Pets should also be non-threatening to our team. - Should I have my roof or my gutter / leaf protection installed first?
Gutters and / or leaf protection systems should be installed after your roof is installed. - How do I prepare for my roofing replacement project?
You can start by removing items outside your home where debris may fall onto. These include patio furniture, plants, and statues. You should also remove loose items from walls inside your home. If your roofing project entails re-decking, we recommend that you remove or cover any valuables with plastic as your attic will be exposed. We also ask that cars are parked out of the driveway. - What should I expect during roof installation?
There will be constant hammering and noise throughout the project, so children and small pets should be kept away from the work area. - How are gutters installed?
We bring out a coil of aluminum sheet that we run through our gutter machine. We then install the system using hidden hangers and straps. We put each corner together with five color-matching pop rivets and seal them using a Vulkem sealer. For the downspouts, we punch a hole at the bottom of the gutter and insert a drop-out tube. We nail down straps using the pop rivets.
